It started out as a little birthday fun for my sister and somehow evolved a bit into some good old country fun. Just before the world was shut down in 2020 I had heard some talk about some high-end experiences involving goats, wine, and yoga. It sounded like so much fun I immediately wanted to try it out beside our creek under the clear Kellyville skies. I even ended up buying 2 goats that were going to be the start of my tiny herd. In fact, one of those goats, Captain, was the subject of a previous post and if you are curious about that you can read more here. https://www.osagetrailranch.net/post/o-captain
Fast forward to present day, about a month ago, I found myself discovering a surprise yoga experience and met a new friend in the sweet instructor. After we talked a bit, I shared with her my dream to try my hand at some goat wrangling in Tulsa. She was game and has a relaxed vibe that I thought would be fantastic if paired with my friend, Lydia's baby show goats. Both were excited to try something new, so off we went...and, That, my friends, is how we ended up in my backyard on a hot summer night with several fans blowing and sweet baby goats everywhere.
Next time I plan to participate, but it was so fun to facilitate a bit of fun for everyone. So here I present the money shot. Laurel and sweet baby doe doing their thing. Get out and hug a goat, folks!
